Russian Pronouns

In this lesson we'll be talking about Russian pronouns. Don't go! It's not as scary as it sounds! Pronouns make our lives easier. In fact, they are simply words that replace nouns. These are words in English like me, you, mine, yours, hers, ours, etc…words you use all the time.

For example, you could say someone's name, or you could just use the English pronoun, he – он (on) in Russian, instead. See how much easier that makes things?

Russian has a lot more pronouns than English because of the different structure of the language and its system of gender and cases. But everything is manageable if you do it bit by bit.
