Adjectives in Russian

Look around you. Can you describe everything you see? How about describing them in Russian по-русски (pa-roosski)? Adjectives are the words you use to describe things. They are what make language colorful! So, in this lesson…you guessed it…we'll be talking about adjectives in Russian!

Russian adjectives are a bit different from adjectives in English as they generally match the gender and number of the noun they're describing. For example, the color red changes depending on whether you're describing a bike –красный велосипед (krasnyi vilasipet) (m), or a car – красная машина (krasnaia masheena) (f), or a dress – красное платье (krasnoe plat’e) (n), or shoes – красные туфли (krasnye toofli) (pl).

Let's get started on adjectives in Russian!
